(04 September 2022, 10:30 +07) Thai AirAsia X has unveiled plans to launch direct flights between Bangkok and Tbilisi, Georgia.
The airline has inked partnerships with two leading travel agencies – Tourladfah and TTN Plus World – to offer direct chartered flight services between Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) in Georgia.
Thai AirAsia X will operate the route with two flights per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays for a period of one year, starting 8 October 2022.

“The one-year deal is expected to help stimulate the economies of both countries, especially as Georgia has become a travel destination of great interest for Thai tourists due to its rich history, distinct architecture, culture and impressive landscapes,” said Kla Nuangnara, Chief Financial Officer for Thai AirAsia X. “Thai AirAsia X is always ready to spread its wings to new markets and our entry into Georgia is very exciting. With strong partners and full support from the Georgian National Tourism Administration and local authorities, we are confident that our marketing plan to attract Georgian travelers to Thailand will be well received.”
Foreign visitors to Georgia have been allowed to enter the country without presenting a vaccination certification or COVID19 test result since 15 June 2022.
