(31 August 2022, 11:15 +07) Korean Air has unveiled plans to launch flights to Budapest and resume service to Dubai, Phuket and Chiang Mai, routes which have been suspended since March 2020.
The airline’s Phuket flights are scheduled to depart from Seoul Incheon on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 17:55 and land in Phuket at 22:00. The return flights are timed to leave Phuket on the same day at 23:20 and arrive at Seoul Incheon at 07:55 the next day.
Korean Air is also reinstating flights to Chiang Mai with Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The airline will offer four flights per week – every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday – departing from Seoul Incheon at 17:55 and arriving in Chiang Mai at 21:30. The return flights are slated to leave Chiang Mai at 23:00 and arrive in Seoul Incheon at 06:25, the following day.

The airline will restore its Middle East network with thrice weekly flights to Dubai. The Incheon-Dubai route will be served by A330-300 aircraft, departing from Seoul Incheon every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 13:20 and arriving in Dubai at 18:55. The return flight is scheduled to depart on the same day at 23:00, arriving in Seoul Incheon at 12:40, the following day.
Korean Air’s inaugural flight to Budapest, Hungary is scheduled to take off on 3 October 2022.
The airline will operate the route with a 269-seat Boeing 787-900 aircraft once a week on Mondays departing from Seoul Incheon at 11:25 and landing in Budapest at 17:05. The return flight is timed to leave the next day at 19:15, arriving in Seoul Incheon one day later at 12:50.
There will also be an extra flight on Saturday October 29.
From 31 October 2022, Korean Air will offer two flights per week that depart from Seoul Incheon at 12:25 on Mondays and Saturdays and arrive in Budapest at 17:15. The return flights are set to take off on the same day at 19:35 and land in Seoul Incheon at 14:15 the next day.
The airline launched cargo services to Budapest in February 2020.
