(06 September 2022, 11:29 +07) Aeroflot has published a sustainable development policy, following approval from the airline’s Board of Directors.
The Aeroflot Group’s sustainable activities are based on the following principles of social responsibility: accountability, transparency, ethical behavior and respect for stakeholder interests, for the rule of law and for human rights.
The group’s main sustainable development goal is to establish air connectivity of the Russian regions and cities, population mobility and affordability of air travel while ensuring environmentally friendly operations.

To achieve that goal the policy defines 7 key sustainable development efforts of for the group: safety and quality of services, information security, reducing environmental impact, responsible personnel management, human rights activities, social programs, counteraction and prevention of violations in financial and business operations.
The Aeroflot Group also contributes to the achievement of all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, prioritizing 5 goals: industry, innovation and infrastructure; responsible consumption and production; gender equality; decent work and economic growth; climate action.
